Year 4 pupils from Wins- ford High Street Primary School provided the con- tents for one of the capsules as part of the project. They include photographs of the children from their school trips, the school emblem, and an illustration of the school with a letter from their headteacher. The children also included notes about their career aspirations, coins, postage stamps, a shopping receipt, and local newspapers. Two other time capsules were also reburied intact from their original location. They were first buried in 1987 within Winsford Cross Shop- ping Centre. A sense of time Prom is a big hit SHRIGLEY Hall’s panoramic backdrop proved a glorious summer setting for the arrival of King’s Year 11 prom-goers. Always a special occa- sion in the student cal- endar, the prom marks the end of a challenging month of GCSE exams and heralds their arrival in the Maccles- field school’s sixth form. Jason Slack, King’s head, said: “It’s a won- derful rite of passage enjoyed every bit as much by the parents and staff as it is by the young men and women. It is a fantastic celebra- tion of everyone’s hard work and dedication over the recent months and years, and it’s great to see everyone enjoy- ing themselves.”
